
Fauve de Bourgogne are extremely new to the UK with currently only a couple of folk breeding them. Lau Magro brought them over from her Grandad's shed in France and presented them the London Show 2006 and we are awaiting final approval of the standard before they can be shown officially in this country.
The first trio to be sold from Lau's shed have come home with me and they are settling in nicely. I am very proud to join Lau in this breeds introduction to the UK.
The Fauve de Bourgogne is one of France’s oldest breeds of rabbits made popular because of it’s meat and dense fur.
They are a friendly big rabbit of around 4kg. They have a ginger red colour with pale eye circles and under side. They are bold, muscular and very grand with even proportions. They have strong erect ears and the head is broader in the males. More...
