Hazelrigg Rabbits German Lop

Frei took my first best U5 Lop and was 3rd in the U5 Grand Challenge at Ulverston show on 27th December :o) Frei was the proud mum to Helmut my first ever BIS winner. Sadly she stopped eating while feeding her next litter and I was unable to save her. Her 3 babies are doing well with a foster mum. Photos...

Schmetterling (German for butterfly) is a daughter of Coral and Teuer. She is a beautifully marked chinchilla butterfly with a lovely chin coat. Her type was lacking at first but she is my most prolific CC winner taking the 5* CC's for both NGLC at Stafford and London shows this year. She now has ideas that she would like babies and is sadly no longer clean enough to show.

Schwarz was bred here at Hazelrigg. She is a self chin and really I was not planning on keeping her but her type was so good I couldn't let her go. She is a sweet and very muscular youngster. She got terribly poorly with her first litter and although touch and go for a week or more she pulled though and is back to strength now. 5 of her 8 babies also made it after loosing their mum at only 4 weeks old.

Coral is from my first ever litter of German sired by Herman. Unfortunately her mum died when the litter was 10 days old and they had to be handreared. She is a self chin missmarked butterfly but is producing me some beautifully marked babies who are all doing so well on the show tables. Schmetterling, Franz and Fritz are all her babies. Photos of her previous litters ...
