Hazelrigg Rabbits German Lop

I am slowly introducing this lovely Rare Variety to Hazelrigg from Luke Holmes' line. Luke who won Best of Breed with his Sallander at The Bradford Excell 5* show this year. Click here to see the Sallander table at the show.
The Sallander was first created in Holland in 1975 by crossing the Thuringer and a Chinchilla rabbit giving beautiful Iron Grey. Imported in the late 90’s, the coat is silky and dense, of medium length and soft to the touch. The Sallander is an extremely typey rabbit, thickset and well rounded. The head is situated close to the body, being well developed with a broad muzzle. Ears are strong and well developed. Chest and shoulders are thickset and well built, developed with the line of the back ending in a well rounded rump. The Sallander should be shown sat upright having a “look I’m here” appearance. Information taken with the kind permission of Luke Holmes as written on RVRC website
